What an amazing year it has been so far. With new technology being released, seems like weekly, the role of the support center continues to increase in all organizations. A shift in focus on business value drives business leaders to realize the importance of investing in a the Support Center.

We are living in a world of transformation. To that end, HDI Conference 2010 theme was all about transformation. Hopefully some of you were able to attend this year’s conference. The networking, the sharing of ideas, the fun was again outstanding. The keynote speakers delivered entertaining but very informative presentations. It would be hard to pick the best or favorite. Presenters like Mike Schlappi, Stan Slap, Cindy Solomon, Frank Mile, Chip Eichelberger, and Larry Winget made the conference unforgettable.   There were many tracks that took you on different journeys of experience and learning. So much, every interest would have been met.

Returning to San Diego, it occurred to me that we are so fortunate to be in an industry that continues to grow and evolve.   Our industry is really transforming before our eyes.  Moving to ITIL  or some form of ITIL has become a driver in most organizations.  The process in the framework suite IT and provide a way to show business value.

The San Diego chapter is fortunate to have some amazing corporate sponsors that allow us to reduce the cost of our meetings.   These very important partners provide lunch so that we do not have to charge.  They also sponsor excellent speakers to keep our chapter informed on the latest technologies and trends.  Please join us and help our chapter grow. Also, check out our sponsors on our sponsor page and consider them when you need a technology solution or advice.

Thanks for your continued support!
